There are many different categories when it comes to the areas of business, law & finance. These would include accounting, careers, economics, management, personal finance, professional finance, sales & marketing and even small business & entrepreneurship. Each one of these sub-categories has their own rules and obstacles that you need to face and overcome. But, you may be wondering:

• What types of books can I find about these categories?
• Are there books on biographies and the history of business, law & finance?
• Can I get information on e-commerce?

You can get all of this information and so much more. You will find that there are also books available for reference and education as well. A few examples are Memoirs of a Radical Lawyer, Outliers: The Story of Success, The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism and O C R Law for A S. George S Clason, Richest Man in Babylon – Principles For Wealth Building

October 19th, 2009

The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason was one of the first books I read on the subject of wealth. I was fascinated by the storyteller’s simple principles to acquire wealth and riches and I thought, “This is too easy”. Yet, all those years ago with the knowledge held within the pages of this simple book, I did not take heed. It would be many years before I understood what the story had foretold and I, like many others, would learn the hard way about building a relationship with money.

With our economy in a state of influx and our country’s future uncertain, it would be prudent to teach our younger generations the importance of establishing a strong relationship with money. So many books have been written on the subject of money management and yet 8 out of 10 households have credit card debt in excess of $10,000. Why haven’t we learned the simple rules of building wealth? Where did we miss the mark? Lack of discipline and respect for money has caused much of this country’s default status. A small portion of blame can be placed upon the educational system. That’s right…the curriculum is not inclusive of finance and money management. Our children are learning how to count, but not how to spend. Parents should be more proactive in teaching their children about the realities that lay ahead in the real world concerning money.

The lessons are simple; the action is difficult for those who have never systematically implemented a plan. However, with commitment and a goal bigger than your immediate wants, you will achieve your financial goals with ease. The following is a rudimentary outline of the seven prosperity principles as this author has interpreted them from the famous book:

Principle 1 – Pay You First

Principle 2 – Create a Spending Plan

Principle 3 – Make Your Money Multiply

Principle 4 – Avoid “Get Rich Quick” Schemes

Principle 5 – Own Your Own Home

Principle 6 – Insure Your Future

Principle 7 – Increase Your Ability to Earn

The old cliché “it’s not how much money you have, it’s what you do with it that counts” is true and there aren’t enough of us doing what we should with our money. The downside to this is we are in a race against time, never knowing when we will run out. Each of the seven principles outlined here gives you the foundation for establishing a financially secure future. You can choose not to be a statistic of the working poor, or worse, never reaching retirement age. Start right where you are; it’s never too late.

7 Books To Change Your Life – And Your Income

September 22nd, 2009

1. THINK AND GROW RICH – NAPOLEON HILL This book has single handedly changed my life, I read this from cover to cover then start over again, every time the I learn new and different things as my awareness grows. More millionaires credit this book to being the key to their success, than any other book.

2. THE SCIENCE OF GETTING RICH – WALLACE. D. WATTLES This book is based on the same philosophy as THINK AND GROW RICH, just explains things differently and it explains that getting rich is a science, and as a science, when you follow simple laws, you get the same results every time.

3. THE 7 HABITS OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PEOPLE – STEPHEN R. COVEY This book is a great way to raise awareness of how we think, and how we need to think to become more fulfilled and successful, this book also gives us some very good perception, and explains why we must shift our thinking.

4. RICH DAD POOR DAD – ROBERT. T. KIYOSAKI – This is a great book for all ages, in fact it was the first book I ever read in relation to money. This explains how rich people think and act, and also shows how the middle class and poor act and why they never get ahead.

5. THE ONE MINUTE MILLIONAIRE – MARK VICTOR HANSEN This is a great book to have if you only have a few minutes spare during each day, this has some amazing stories inside stories and is fantastic to read.

6. THE RICHEST MAN IN BABYLON – GEORGE S. CLASON This is a brilliant story about a man from Babylon who through organized and precise planning, become the richest man in his town, with just purely smart ideas on how to grow the income you already have.

7. ACRES OF DIAMONDS – DR. RUSSELL H. CONWELL This is a awesome short story of a guy giving up, right before he reached success. And how the lesson came around again, but due to previous failure, he too succeeded in the end.

These 7 Books must be read, and then Studied. They must be studied as a text book, rather than just something to read, and then acted upon accordingly!
